About

If you had told me that I’d be living in my dream home in my 50’s—but renting instead of buying—I might not have believed you. But here I am, in a beautifully restored 1920s home in historic downtown Murfreesboro, TN, completely in love with where I live. And the best part? I didn’t have to sign up for a 30-year mortgage to make it happen.

Welcome to my blog, where I share my journey of making a rented house feel like home—without knocking down walls or making permanent changes. I believe that just because you don’t own the keys doesn’t mean you can’t create a space that reflects your style, comfort, and personality.

My Mission

From the charming front porch to the lush backyard (thanks to my incredible landlords who happen to be landscaping pros), I’ll be styling my home with secondhand treasures, thrifted finds, gifted pieces, and even the occasional roadside rescue. Every room will tell a story—of creativity, resourcefulness, and making the most of what you have.

Why ‘Renting w/Style?

Here, you’ll find renter-friendly decorating tips, DIY projects that won’t risk your security deposit, and the best ways to hunt for secondhand gems on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and Goodwill. I’ll also be sharing personal stories, home hacks, and inspiration for anyone who wants to love where they live—whether they rent or own.

So if you’re a fellow renter, a thrifting enthusiast, or someone who just loves seeing homes come to life with a little creativity, you’re in the right place. Let’s make our rental spaces feel like forever homes—without the forever commitment.

Follow along for the journey!
